Indiana Schools: Higher Graduation Standards, College / Work Ready Curriculum, Indiana Department of Education, No Child Left Behind, Indiana Reading First Program

Indiana is serious when it comes to educating it's children. A report released in February 2006 highlights Indiana’s efforts to raise graduation requirements and ensure that all students graduate ready for college or the workforce. The report recognizes Indiana as one of only eight states that require a rigorous college- and work-ready curriculum for graduation.

Indiana Schools: A Commitment to Superior Education

There were 988,289 students attending 1,874 Indiana public schools in the 1999-2000 school year, with an average of $6,300 spent per student. Indiana middle school students ranked 4th in the nation in reading and 12th in math that same year. The State's commitment is evident in their strong support of the No Child Left Behind and the Indiana Reading First programs.

For your convenience, we have provided links to the Indiana Department of Education, as well as many of the local public school systems, and private and secondary schools in the area.

An excellent internet source of information about Indiana schools is available at greatschools.net, "A Parents Guide to K - 12 Success" (opens in new window).

"VIP Realty took the pressure off of us to sell our home. Tammy is extremely organized and passionate and worked very hard to get us what we monetarily needed out of our home. She was also a wonderful asset as we looked to purchase a new home.

VIP took the guess work out of everything. Tammy under-promised and over-delivered, and always within the timeline she gave us. We have recommended VIP to several of our friends and family members, and will utilize her services if we move again."
